The University of Applied Arts Vienna is seeking a University Assistant (m/f/d, 20 h/w, Sept. 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026) at the Institute of Architecture in the Department Building Construction.


Employment Requirements:

  • Completed studies in architecture


Applicants should have the following qualifications:

  • Teaching experience at a university
  • Several years of work experience in architectural practice
  • Experience in architecture and building construction with a focus on sustainibility building and biobased design.
  • Social competence and ability to work in a team, ability to organize oneself
  • Experience in and interest in discipline-specific research desired
  • Good knowledge of German and excellent written and spoken English, subject-relevant teaching language: English


Job profile:

  • Collaborate in teaching and research the content of building construction with and biobased design.
  • Conception and organization of the Circular Strategies Symposium, lectures and workshops
  • On request supervision and support of student projects (studio projects).
  • Administrative tasks


The minimum gross salary currently amounts to € 1,857.40 (14x times a year, based on 20 hours per week) and can be increased accordingly by taking into account job-specific previous experience in accordance with the collective agreement for universities (B1, salary scheme for academic/artistic university staff).
