Hofer and Leopold Maurer's Insekten (Insects) was published by Luftschacht in 2019. The book, illustrated alternately
by the two artists, is dedicated to the biography of a perpetrator, namely Maurer's grandfather, who was a member of the SS.
The work recounts the grandfather's relativizations and romanticizations, contrasts them with historical facts, and confronts
them with the grandson's memories.
