Barbara Graf: Von Händen und Füßen

Barbara Graf studied under Maria Lassnig at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and teaches in the textile department there. She explores body perception and expression through the media of textiles, drawing, photography and film. In the exhibition, she shows selected works on hands and feet. While feet feel the ground with every step, hands grasp the environment, fabric and bodies in a variety of ways through touch: an artistic exploration of the vulnerability and self-assurance of one's own physicality.
