Opening Hours

Opening hours during the semester*:

Please use the return box in the cloakroom for returns outside the opening hours.

Please note that there is only limited service at the information desk between 12 and 2pm.

The library is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Copying & Scanning

• There are two supervisory scanners available for free scanning in the Library.
• Scan per email or use your own memory stick.
• Send your scan files either to your email address or save them on your memory stick.
• Copy cards can be borrowed from the library information desk for a fee of 1€ and must be returned after use.
• One charger for copy cards is available at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2 and another one at Vordere Zollamtsstraße 7 in the kitchenette (room no. 111, 2^nd floor).

Return of books/media

• During our opening hours, you can return any borrowed items using our self-service terminals. Please place any items that have been marked as "returned" on the trolleys next to the terminals.
• Outside opening hours, please return your items to the return box in the Library's cloakroom.

• If you wish to extend your card, please end us an e-mail along with scans of all other required documents. We will then notify you as to how long the period of extension will be.
• All paid annual cards will be extended by the period of time that the library was temporarily closed.
• As a student of the Angewandte, you must notify the office of Student and Academic Affairs of any change to your address.

• Exception: the loan perion for books and media from other university departments is 2 weeks and may only be extended once
• option to extend the loan period prior to the due date on use of supA Search Portal Angewandte or by e-mail
• separate regulations for diploma students/graduates and in-house university members

• With the exception of annual card holders, loan periods of items are automatically extended by four weeks, prior to their date of expiry (Exception: the loan periods of books and media from other university departments can only be extended once for a further 2 weeks). However, it is not possible to extend a loan period if the item has been pre-booked or, for example, because other items are due for return or fees are payable. In that case, you will receive a written reminder.
• You can extend your media loans anytime via your user account. To do this, please sign in to our search portal supA with your account.

• You will be notified as soon as the ordered books/media have been issued to your account and may be picked up.

• Outside of our opening hours, the return box in the Library‘s cloak room area can be used.
